Many of the shorter routes are in Rotherham Borough and South Yorkshire, with other outings in places such as the Peak District, West Yorkshire, the Yorkshire Wolds, North Nottinghamshire and South Derbyshire. Routes are chosen by volunteer walk leaders from the membership, and local Rangers sometimes lead walks and share information about the area.
